General Information
The Founder

  • Gum Arabic Marketing Cooperative Society Ltd (GAMCS) is a primary agricultural cooperative society registered under the National Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (MAFS), Republic of South Sudan, with Registration No. 20275/2025. Founded in 2025, GAMCS was established by agricultural smallholder farmers with the goal of promoting the production, marketing, and export of Gum Arabic in South Sudan. Our cooperative focuses on supporting local Gum Arabic producers—particularly in the Northern Upper Nile region—by encouraging large-scale plantation of Acacia trees, sustainable harvesting, value addition, and access to local and international markets.

  • Hon. Santino Nuan K. Beny is the visionary founder and CEO of GAMCS. He has over 19 years of experience in Gum Arabic farming and agribusiness, dating back to 2007. His deep understanding of the Gum Arabic value chain, from farming to export, reflects his dedication to building a sustainable and profitable industry for South Sudan. In addition to agribusiness, he has worked extensively with charitable and humanitarian organizations in Sudan and South Sudan, particularly in community development initiatives. Hon. Santino is widely respected for his leadership, business ethics, and commitment to empowering local farmers, making him a key figure in the establishment and growth of GAMCS.

CERTIFICATIONS & LEGAL STATUS

GAMCS is a legally registered cooperative society under the Cooperative Act of 2011, Republic of South Sudan, and operates as a recognized corporate legal entity in compliance with national laws and regulations.
